MPLH FAQ PAGE
Q: Furries... Hell... do I smell a "Jack" ripoff?
A: No. The MPLH idea has existed long before Jack ever was. Just not in comic form. And the big difference, is this is about what demons do 'topside instead of in hell. In fact, it will mostly be about living people and their own problems. Though the underworld/afterlife will certainly be featured in a few issues, especially during "comedy beats" (story arcs that are just for fun like the first one. ^.^)

Q: I see a character named "Jack" in the comic. Is there any relation between him and the "Jack" of David Hopkins' comic?
A: Nope. None whatsoever. MPLH's Jack is Jack R. Wolfe, a goon under the direct employ of Mr.Akumachi. When he was born his father thought it would be cool to name his son after Jack the Ripper. Great parent eh?

Q: Not to pester or anything, but yet again with the David Hopkin's comic I've seen Efret and Gideon featured on the forum's Comic Jams. Are they the same?  http://pholph.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=317
A: Yes. ^.^ He does feature in the comic jam created by other artists. They were introduced by Mutt, MPLH's featured artist.

Q: Are the two comic worlds overlapping in anyway. (Jack & MPLH)
A: Perhaps there might be some continuity that would allow the two to feature crossovers for fun... but not unless David wants me to. The comic jams on the Jack Comic forums will be the only place crossovers will take place till then. Kudos to David Hopkins, though, for writing such an inspiring and entertaining comic. ^.^

P.S. -The- Jack from David Hopkin's comic does make a cameo (with permission) in "Dot Bummer" our first comedic arc. Look for his feet in page two panel two. Kudos!

Q: Speaking of crossovers. What about PGCR?
A: Yes, those take place in the same world setting. Though MPLH starts out years before PGCR's current timeline. Perki would be a teenager here, for example. Mutt is the lead writer for PGCR, and I (Raven/Efret) am co-writer. For MPLH our roles are reversed though he is still the artist. Be thankful for that, you do NOT want to see what results from my nerve-damaged scribblings. I'll just stick to writing. ^.^

Q: Where did you get the idea for Efret and MPLH.
A: Oh wow, long story. I'll write something more detailed someday but I invented Efret first in 1994 on SPR MUCK and played him just for kicks. He was a bartender in the "Land Downunder Bar and Grill" (This is going back a long ways folks!) MPLH later evolved from something I threw together on another MUCK and later abandoned in favor of other projects. Till I started co-authoring with Mutt, which inspired me to develop the characters and storylines. Efret has become a much more serious character from his comedic beginnings.

Q: So what is Efret anyway? Angel? Demon? Specter of Death? Something else?
A: He is a demon, of a special type. He is what is called a "Sorter". His task is to seek out those souls that are so grey (between good and evil natures) that their final destination cannot yet be determined. He is supposed to attempt to "evoke" them into showing their true natures lest they become "lost souls". Which are spirits denied a place in eternity and are relegated to either purgatory, wandering earthbound, or oblivion.

Q: Does this comic reflect your personal religious beliefs in any way?
A: ARE YOU FRIGGIN NUTS!?! ^.^ Of course not. This is FICTION, not a new chapter for the Bible. Treat it with a grain of salt and tongue in cheek. I have no intention of using this as some form of soapbox or pulpit. Though you might see the occasional morality play or two.
